How do I organize an event?

The information in this response is only relevant to Metropolia employees, not students.
Please read the guidelines related to organizing events from the IT Services page and OMA:
- IT Services' Event Organizer's Checklist
- Metropolia Communications Service instructions for organizing events at Metropolia
- Create a checklist of tasks that you need to take care of regarding the event.
Handle each item on the checklist in a timely manner. Occasionally, the Helpdesk receives requests for devices and services that cannot be provided because the requester is late in their arrangements.
Familiarize yourself with the venue and its equipment well in advance, preferably the day before and an hour before the event. This way, any possible malfunctions can be fixed before the start of the event. If any issues arise or if you need assistance, please submit a service request to the Helpdesk.
