Microsoft Office Desktop programs
- Ready in the computers administred by Metropolia. You can switch to another version on your laptop by following these intructions (in Finnish).
- Home computers. Metropolia staff and students may download the Office package to their own computers following these instructions. NOTICE! Do not try to install Office on a Metropolia computer following these instructions.
Mac Desktop
- Ready at the Metropolia Mac digi spaces. Facilities → Select campus → Computers
- Installed in the Mac computers of the staff.
- Metropolia staff and students may download to their own computers
Oneline version
- Online version (aka web version) is used on computers that are online. Metropolia staff and students use the software for their Metropolia works on their Metropolia accounts. Before the deployment you have to accept the Metropolia terms of use. For more information.

Regardless of how you use it, sign in to Word and other Microsoft cloud services as userID@metropolia.fi (not firstname.lastname@metropolia.fi). Read more about the different forms of username and how to sign in to cloud services. |
Use directly in your browser
- You can access your files stored in Word directly from your web browser at https://onedrive.microsoft.com
- Log in with your Metropolia username in the form userID@metropolia.fi (see also the more detailed instructions for logging in to the cloud).
Use the Windows application
- Onedrive is a built-in feature of the Windows operating system that allows you to sync the folders you want to use from your computer to the Onedrive cloud service.
- Access Onedrive on a Windows computer managed by Metropolia or on your own computer.
Use the Mac app
- Metropolia Mac digi spaces: See Facilities → Choose a location → Computers subheading.
- On Metropolia staff Mac computers, the application is pre-installed.
- For your own computer, download and install the Onedrive application from the Microsoft website.
Use the mobile app
- Download the Microsoft Onedrive mobile app from your phone's app store.
