Office 2019 Desktop
- Ready in the computers administred by Metropolia
- In the Office apps package that Metropolia staff and students may download to their own computers.
Office 365 Desktop
- Metropolia staff can download the 365 versioin to their work computers on the Metropolia Software Center.
Mac Desktop
- Ready at the Metropolia Mac digi spaces. Facilities → Select campus → Computers
- Installed in the Mac computers of the staff.
- Metropolia staff and students may download to their own computers
Oneline version
- Online version (aka web version) is used on computers that are online. Metropolia staff and students use the software for their Metropolia works on their Metropolia accounts. Before the deployment you have to accept the Metropolia terms of use. For more information.

Mobile apps
- Users have to download the mobile apps in the application stores of Apple or Google.

Powerpoint Online on Powerpoint-esitysohjelman selainkäyttöinen versio, jonka Microsoft-yhtiö julkaisi vuonna 2008. Se on osa yhtiön selainpohjaista Office Online -toimistosovelluspakettia. Office Onlinen sovelluksia sisältyy myös oppilaitosten käyttämään Microsoft Office 365 Education -kokoelmaan.
Selainpohjaisella versiolla voi työskennellä siellä, missä verkkoselain on käytettävissä, eikä ohjelmaa tarvitse asentaa omalle tietokoneelle.
Office Onlinen sovellukset toimivat seuraavissa selainversioissa:
- Internet Explorer 9 tai myöhempi
- Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Safari for OS X 10.6 tai myöhempi

PowerPoint OnLine is the browser-based version of Powerpoint, the slide show presentation program which Microsoft Company published in 2008. It is a part of the company’s browser-based Office OnLine office programs suite. Office OnLine applications are included also in Microsoft Office 365 Education suite, used by academic institutions.
The browser-based version is always available where a web browser can be used. The program does not require installation on the computer.
Office OnLine applications can be used with the following browser versions:
- Internet Explorer 9 or later
- Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Safari for OS X 10.6 or later
Metropolia students and staff use Office OnLine applications with their Metropolia user IDs. They can also download and use for free the desktop version of the Office package. Download instructions.
Other services similar to Powerpoint Online include Google Slides and Slideshare.

Regardless of how you use it, sign in to Powerpoint and other Microsoft cloud services as userID@metropolia.fi (not firstname.lastname@metropolia.fi). Read more about the different forms of username and how to sign in to cloud services. |
Use directly in your browser
- You can access your files stored in Powerpoint directly from your web browser at https://office.live.com/start/Powerpoint.aspx
- Log in with your Metropolia username in the form userID@metropolia.fi (see also the more detailed instructions for logging in to the cloud).
Use the Windows application
- Access Powerpoint on a Windows computer managed by Metropolia or on your own computer.
- On computers managed by Metropolia, such as workstations, Microsoft Office desktop software is pre-installed. If necessary, you can change the version of the desktop software using the help.
Use the Mac app
- Metropolia Mac digi spaces: See Facilities → Choose a location → Computers subheading.
- On Metropolia staff Mac computers, the application is pre-installed.
- For your own computer, download and install the Onedrive application using the help.
Use the mobile app
- Download the Microsoft Excel mobile app from your phone's app store.
