Restoring an Apple iOS Device to Factory Settings
NOTE! Resetting the iPhone to factory settings may not remove all links to your Apple ID account. If the phone is being given to a new user, it is important to follow these instructions.
IMPORTANT!
Before passing on your Apple device, remove its connection to the Find My service.
(The Find My service was previously named "Find My iPhone.")
Apple's instructions for removal can be found here:
https://support.apple.com/kb/PH19302?viewlocale=fi_FI&locale=en_US
Make sure you are also signed out of iCloud, Media & Purchases, iMessage, FaceTime, and Game Center.
IMPORTANT FIRST STEP! Disable "Find My" (Missä on...?)
"Find My" must be turned off BEFORE handing the device over to IT management. This also applies to Apple iPad, Watch, and AirPods devices.
You can disable "Find My" either from the settings on your iOS device or through a browser at: http://www.icloud.com/find
