Recover deleted e-mail
The Deleted Items folder holds e-mail messages until the folder is emptied. When Deleted Items is emptied, the messages are moved to so called Dumbster, a folder for removed items where they can be recovered from within 90 days.
Recover from the Deleted Items
Login to Outlook 2010 client or to Outlook Webapp (at https://mail.metropolia.fi) and select the Deleted Items folder.
Right click the message that you want to recover and, in the pop-up menu, select Move. If the pop-up menu does not display the name of the folder that you want to move the message to, select Other...
Browse to the folder where you want to move the message to and click OK. The recovered message is now in your chosen folder.
Recover messages deleted from the Deleted Items
Login to Outlook 2010 client and select the Folder tab. Select Recover Deleted Items.
The Recover Deleted Items window opens. Find the message you are looking for. You can select several messages by keeping down the CTRL and Shift keys.
After selecting the message(s), click on the envelop marked with a red arrow:
