How do I stop Xcode from asking for admin credentials?

macOS

This answer is only for Mac computers managed by Metropolia.

In some cases, the necessary Xcode packages may not have been installed, or Apple's own updates might have removed them.

  1. Open the Managed Software Center application.
  2. Choose Xcode Packages Install to install the required packages.
  3. Restart Xcode. You should no longer see the admin prompt.
