Website is displayed in the wrong language, what should I do?
Change browser and computer settings
Look for an option on the website to change the language. On many websites, this option is located at the top or bottom of the page.
Try changing the default language settings in your browser and computer if the web pages are displayed in a specific language. Here's an example using the Windows operating system and Chrome browser:
- First, check the default language settings in your browser. Change the default language to the one you want the web pages to be displayed in.
- Open Chrome on your Windows computer.
- Click on the three-dot icon in the top right corner and select Settings.
- On the left side, click on Languages.
- Next to "Preferred languages," click Add next to the language you want. If your desired language is not listed, click Add languages.
- Check the box next to "Display Google Chrome in this language." This option is available only on Windows computers.
Restart Chrome for the changes to take effect.
- If this doesn't help, check the language settings in Windows.
- Open the Settings from the Start menu in Windows.
- Select Time and language.
- Go to Language.
- Change the default language settings in Windows display language and Preferred languages. Changing these settings may also affect the language of Office 365 web pages.
- First, check the default language settings in your browser. Change the default language to the one you want the web pages to be displayed in.
Try changing the device and browser
- Try accessing the website with a different browser (e.g., use Firefox or Edge instead of Chrome, or vice versa).
- Try accessing the website in an incognito/private window to see if it appears in the correct language.
Try accessing the website on another device to see which language it appears in. Choose a device where language settings are not set to the wrong language.
