How do I set up call forwarding on my work phone?

This answer is intended for Metropolia staff, not for students.
Elisa Ring
Call forwarding for Metropolia phone subscriptions can only be set up using the Elisa Ring web application. Call forwarding can be activated or deactivated using both the web application and the mobile app.
How do I set up call forwarding through the Elisa Ring web interface?
- Open a web browser and go to https://ring.mob2.elisa.fi.
- If you don't have a password yet, select "Password issues?".
- Enter your phone number. You will receive a text message with a link to reset your password.
- Set a new password.
- Log in with your work phone number (in the format +358...) and your password.
- From the left menu, select "Forwardings".
- Click the "+Add" button.
- Give your call forwarding a descriptive name and click "Other" from the "Destination" field. Enter the destination number.
- Finally, click "Save" in the top bar. The new call forwarding is now created and activated.
How do I enable or disable call forwarding through the Elisa Ring mobile app?
You can enable or disable call forwarding through the Elisa Ring mobile app, but the settings are currently managed through the web interface.
- Install the Elisa Ring app from the Google Play Store on your Android phone.
- Launch the app.
Log in with your work phone number (in the format +358...) and your password.
If you don't have a password yet, go to https://ring.elisa.fi/salasana in a browser.
- Enter your work phone number in the format +358... in the field.
- Tap the "LÄHETÄ" button.
- Tap the menu icon with three horizontal lines in the top left corner.
- From the menu, select "Kytke soitonsiirtoja" (Enable call forwarding).
- Enable or disable the call forwarding you set up through the web interface.
Did You Encounter a Problem?
- Restart your computer and the device where the issue is occurring. Try the function again.
- If the function you are attempting is happening in a web browser, try the function again in an incognito or private window and in a different browser.
- Try searching for a solution on the site of the IT Services by using the following search methods:
- navigation menu of the site (on the left)
- search machine of the wiki (right upper corner)
- a general search engine, for instance Google Search
- alphabetical index
- FAQ
