What should I do if I can't get the image to display on the projector or television during a presentation?
Before submitting a service request, please do the following:
- Ensure that the correct HDMI cable is connected to the computer.
Verify that the computer is sending the image to the device.
- Press Windows + P.
Select Duplicate/Extend.
- Make sure that there is no adapter connected to the computer without a cable. (Attaching an adapter bundle to the HDMI cable with a wire can be misleading.)
Ensure that the power cord of the television is plugged into the power outlet.
How should I proceed in case of an issue?
Classroom change
Resolve the issue by switching to another classroom if it is feasible and makes sense to do so. Later, submit a service request to the Helpdesk to ensure the functionality of the original classroom.
- Restart your computer and the device where the issue is occurring. Try the function again.
- If the function you are attempting is happening in a web browser, try the function again in an incognito or private window and in a different browser.
- Try searching for a solution on the site of the IT Services by using the following search methods:
- navigation menu of the site (on the left)
- search machine of the wiki (right upper corner)
- a general search engine, for instance Google Search
- alphabetical index
- FAQ
If the problem is not resolved, please contact the helpdesk according to best practices. Always include a full screen screenshot of the issue in your service request.
