During last weekend, password lists have been published in the Internet. The passwords may be connected
to the e-mail addresses published the previous week. So far the passwords have not been linked to any
web services, user IDs or e-mail addresses.
The published e-mail addresses have presumably been harvested from discussion forums' or other web
services' registration data. Most likely they originate from such web services that ask for the user's
e-mail address during registration. If the e-mail password was disclosed, the address can be used for
digging out other web service user IDs.
