Office 2019 Desktop
- Ready in the computers administred by Metropolia
- In the Office apps package that Metropolia staff and students may download to their own computers.
Office 365 Desktop
- Metropolia staff can download the 365 versioin to their work computers on the Metropolia Software Center.
Mac Desktop
- Ready at the Metropolia Mac digi spaces. Facilities → Select campus → Computers
- Installed in the Mac computers of the staff.
- Metropolia staff and students may download to their own computers
Oneline version
- Online version (aka web version) is used on computers that are online. Metropolia staff and students use the software for their Metropolia works on their Metropolia accounts. Before the deployment you have to accept the Metropolia terms of use. For more information.

Mobile apps
- Users have to download the mobile apps in the application stores of Apple or Google.

Regardless of how you use it, sign in to Teams and other Microsoft cloud services as userID@metropolia.fi (not firstname.lastname@metropolia.fi). Read more about the different forms of username and how to sign in to cloud services. |
Use directly in your browser
- You can access your files stored in Excel directly from your web browser at https://teams.microsoft.com/
- Log in with your Metropolia username in the form userID@metropolia.fi (see also the more detailed instructions for logging in to the cloud).
Use the Windows application
- Access Teams on a Windows computer managed by Metropolia or on your own computer.
- On computers managed by Metropolia, such as workstations, Microsoft Office desktop software is pre-installed. If necessary, you can change the version of the desktop software using the help.
Use the Mac app
- Metropolia Mac digi spaces: See Facilities → Choose a location → Computers subheading.
- On Metropolia staff Mac computers, the application is pre-installed.
- For your own computer, download and install the Onedrive application using the help.
Use the mobile app
- Download the Microsoft Excel mobile app from your phone's app store.

Microsoft Teams on keskustelupohjainen yhteistoiminta-alusta. Sillä pystyy pitämään työyhteisön sisäisiä keskustelutuokioita ja kokouksia. Myös aineiston ja tehtävien jakaminen ryhmän kesken onnistuu. Palvelulla kykenee järjestämään myös videokonferensseja.
Teamsiin on lisätty videokonferenssisovellus Skype for Businessin ominaisuusia. Teams korvaa jatkossa Skype for Businessin lähes kokonaan.
Ohjelma on käytettävissä kolmena sovelluksena:

Microsoft aloitti vuonna 2018 yhteistyön interaktiivisen kuvaeditorin Thinglinkin kera. Thinglinkiä voi käyttää sen jälkeen Teamsista käsin.
Teamsin merkittäviin kilpailijoihin kuuluu Googlen Meet sekä itsenäinen Zoom.
Teams kuuluu Microsoftin oppilaitoksille suuntaamaan Office 365 Education -sovelluskokoelmaan. Metropolian opiskelijat ja henkilökunta käyttävät Office Onlinen sovelluksia Metropolia-käyttäjätunnuksillaan.
