The Student Union of Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (METKA) Student unions in Finnish universities of applied sciences have had official legal status since the year 2005. METKA represents the students in Metropolia.

METKA organises various free time activities, from sports classes to massive student parties. METKA also arranges the student tutors in runs a student tutor program at Metropolia. Student wellbeing is our main concern; --we can provide help in problem situations.

Metropolia uses a Student Administration System called WinhaPro and there is an interface for the students called WinhaWille. The students Students must register in at the beginning of each academic year as either present or absent. In Winhawille you can also update your address and contact information, enrol to implementation, enrol to an exam, see your personal study plan ISP and grades of the studiesin classes.
