The Student Union of Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (METKA) Student unions in Finnish universities of applied sciences have had official legal status since the year 2005. METKA represents the students in Metropolia.

METKA organises various free time activities, from sports classes to massive student parties. METKA also arranges the student tutors in Metropolia. Student wellbeing is our main concern; we can provide help in problem situations.

Student Affairs Office e-service, where you can order transcripts of records, educational certificates and other school facilities are electronic certificates of the Student Affairs Office (Documents will be mailed the next business day to the address on your order free of charge).

Student services have six offices located on different campuses. Student services are designed to help students with everyday study-related matters such as study right, enrolment and student financial aid. In addition, student affairs offices provide students with study certificates, transcript of records and discount ticket applications for public transportation.

Metropolia uses a Student Administration System called WinhaPro and there is an interface for the students called WinhaWille. The students must register in the beginning of each academic year as either present or absent. In Winhawille you can also update your address and contact information, enrol to implementation, enrol to an exam, see your personal study plan ISP and grades of the studies.

Students have own e-mail while they are studying offered by Metropolia. Program is running in Outlook. (Metropolia official e-mail and e-mail from Metropolia systems are coming to that e-mail box). If you do not want to use Metropolia e-mail address, you'll have  to redirect messages to the e-mail address that you use.

Change the password for your User Account. Logging in there you can also see your User Account ID and email address for Metropolia (good idea to change your password periodically).
