An external user's account is an account created for a user who participates in a Metropolia project, enrolls in a class at Metropolia, or for some other reason uses Metropolia workstations (e.g. in auditoria) but is not a Metropolia staff member. Usually such accounts give access to Wiki or Moodle and they are created for projects run in cooperation with other organizations. With an external user's account logging to a Metropolia workstation is possible.

The activation password is valid for 45 days, after that you have to get a new activation password. Instructions for getting a new activation password are the same as in the case of forgotten password
Permissions to systems
- Zoom video conferencing (the use can be made a host in the meeting's settings when using the user account's email address)
- OMA workspaces, where the workspace owner adds the external user as a member (Metropolia Desktop is

- login to Metropolia workstation
- Moodle (the workspace owner adds instructors)
- E-lomake (permissions can be added after initial login)
- wireless network (metropolia-guest)
