Using Acrobat - VANHA

1. In the Tools bar Secure > 2 Encrypt with password:



2. Acknowledge the message about new security settings by clicking on OK:



3. The Password Security - Settings windows opens. In Permissions, Restrict editing and printing is selected by default. Set the document a password by typing it in the change permissions password field. Select in Printing allowed and changes allowed the settings you want. The option None denies prevents the mentioned actions. Proceed by clicking on OK:



4. You will reseive a message saying that third party software do not respect the protection. In other words, this does not give a 100% guaranteed protection. Proceed by clicking on OK.



5. Confirm the password:



6. The settings will be applied only by saving the document.



7. Save the document. Notice that the saving and printing icons are active before saving the document...



8. ...but greyed out after saving the document:
