Trash in Mac OS X
The computer’s trash is a special folder where you can move unnecessary files.
Files in the trash still take up the same amount of storage space.
Only emptying the trash frees up that storage space for more useful purposes.
When you put something in the trash, it’s a good idea to open it and check that nothing important has accidentally gone in there.
Then, the trash should be emptied immediately.
When the trash is empty, it’s easier to find any necessary files that may have accidentally ended up there.
Searching for a needed file in a full trash is as easy as looking for an earring in a vacuum cleaner bag.
An empty trash = a happier computer user
