Promid time tracking
Metropolia Staff
Access to Promid time tracking is granted to those individuals who have a valid employment contract with Metropolia. Please ensure that your employment contract details are up to date in payroll. If you are still unable to log in to Promid, please contact Helpdesk for assistance.
Logging into Promid
1. Open your web browser and go to metropolia.promid.fi (the link to Promid can also be found in OMA).
2. Click the ADFS login button.
Log in with your Metropolia username in the format example@metropolia.fi
Installing the mobile application
1. Download the app from either Google Play or the App Store. The app can only be downloaded to one device at a time.
2. Log in with your credentials in your web browser at metropolia.promid.fi.
- Click on your name to open My Settings.
- Click Download/Activate Mobile App. You will receive instructions via email on how to access the mobile application.
3. Follow the instructions in the registration email. The password is valid for only one login session.
- Enter the server information in the login field: metropolia.promid.fi
- Your username is your email address.
- You can find the password in the registration email.
4. The app is ready for use! Your username and password will be saved on your phone, so you won't need to log in again.
What should I do if the activation of the Promid-mobile app fails?
1. Go back to the beginning of the previous instructions on Installing the Mobile Application. Reactivate the mobile app by following the instructions starting from step 2.
2. If the app activation still fails, delete the app from your phone and reinstall the mobile application completely according to the instructions in Installing the Mobile Application. Follow all steps starting from step 1.
If the sending of the registration email mentioned in the instructions fails using the internet browser on your mobile device, try using your computer's internet browser.
Did you encounter a problem?
- Restart your computer and the device where the issue is occurring. Try the function again.
- If the function you are attempting is happening in a web browser, try the function again in an incognito or private window and in a different browser.
- Try searching for a solution on the site of the IT Services by using the following search methods:
- navigation menu of the site (on the left)
- search machine of the wiki (right upper corner)
- a general search engine, for instance Google Search
- alphabetical index
- FAQ
If the problem is not resolved, please contact the helpdesk according to best practices. Always include a full screen screenshot of the issue in your service request.
