Accessing Metropolia-secure with Android Device

Step 1: Selecting a WLAN network

  1. Find a menu called Internet or WiFi in your phone's settings.
  2. Select Metropolia-secure.

Step 2: Selecting the CA-certificate

  1. Open the CA-certificate menu.
  2. Select the metropolia-secure option.

Step 3: Signing in

  1. Enter the domain name in the text box: ise1.metropolia.fi.
  2. In the identity field, type: Username@metropolia.fi.
  3. In the Password field, type: the password for your Metropolia account.
  4. In the Privacy field, select Use randomized MAC.
  5. Press the Connect button.

If the connection to the metropolia-secure network fails

  1. press and hold metropolia-secure and select Forget.

      2.  Then select metropolia-secure again and follow the on-screen instructions.

     


What should I do in case of a problem?

  1. Restart your computer and the device where the issue is occurring. Try the function again.
  2. If the function you are attempting is happening in a web browser, try the function again in an incognito or private window and in a different browser.
  3. Try searching for a solution on the site of the IT Services by using the following search methods:
    1. navigation menu of the site (on the left)
    2. search machine of the wiki (right upper corner)
    3. a general search engine, for instance Google Search
    4. alphabetical index
    5. FAQ

If the problem is not resolved, please contact the helpdesk according to best practices. Always include a full screen screenshot of the issue in your service request.
