Phishing is a common experience for email users these days. Metropolia email users often receive requests for their network/email passwords, user IDs, and other private data. Some of these emails can be very convincing and appear to be from Metropolia ITS Staff.
However, you should know that ITS will never, ever request your password! Emails requesting your password or other personal data should simply be DELETED upon receipt.
Below is the newest messages of phishing email received here at Metropolia and should be deleted upon receipt.

Dear User,
Dear E-mail user due to high rate of spam mails receive the school's web-mail database is undergoing an account upgrade Process. You are hereby required key in your details for Update to ensure that this account remains subscribed to the schools web-mail system, Otherwise your account will be De-activated from the School's database.

Some Metropolia users face the following problem:
Files stored on school’s network drives are empty (without content) when you access them from Tuubi (General Tools - Network drives) with a browser, both at home and school computers.
Only Windows Explorer allows everyone to access files on network drives for the time being on school’s workstations.
The problem is being investigated.
Files from your Z-home drive can also be downloaded with the WinSCP program.
