When printing from Mac computers to multifunction printers' Virtual Queues, the print job can now be printed out from any multifunction printer.

There will be changes in print queues on Mac workstations.

The following old print queues will be removed:

Virtual Queue Black and White double-sided

Virtual Queue Color double-sided


The new print queues are:

Virtual Queue Black and White double-sided 2

Virtual Queue Color double-sided 2


The changes in print queues take place when a Mac computer is connected to the local network by cable. If the changes do not appear within approximately one hour while the computer is connected to the network, you can run the update program in /Applications/Utilities/Managed Software Update.app

For the changes to be in effect, the updates must be installed after the program has downloaded them.


PDF files can also be printed via PaperCut Web Print service.

To create a PDF file in Mac OS X, click on the PDF button in the bottom of the print dialogue and select "Save as PDF..." or "Save As Adobe PDF".

 

For the moment printing from Mac computers to multifunction printers does not work reliably.

The problem is being investigated and a solution is hoped to be found soon.

At the moment printing works via PaperCut Web Print Service that accepts print jobs as PDF files.

To create a PDF file in the Mac OS X system, click on the PDF button "Save as PDF..." or "Save As Adobe PDF" in the printing dialogue.

There have been problems with logging in to multifunction printers e.g. in the following locations:

  • Agricolankatu
  • Alberginkatu/Kalevankatu
  • Sofialehdonkatu

The problem is being investigated.

A fifteen minutes break this Wednesday at 9 p.m.

A new Contact Information -page is implemented and some minor bugs are fixed.
