Changing the name
The new e-mail system does not currently export automatically name changes to e-mail addresses. So please, make the service request in https://hd.metropolia.fi once you have done throughout the other measures.
Staff
Information about a change in your first or last name should be given to the personnel assistant of your department, unit or function.
All Metropolia records will be modified to reflect a change in your first or last name after the personnel assistant has modified the HR records accordingly.
The nickname field should indicate the name that will form the first name part of your e-mail address: firstname.lastname@metropolia.fi
The Metropolia phone exchange, however, will not automatically receive information about the change. Instead, they will receive notification from the Info Center.
Contact the Info Center either directly at 020 406 5230 or leave a message to he phone contact person at https://hd.metropolia.fi.
NOTE! Check your own information at http://amme.metropolia.fi to see if extra characters have been added to your e-mail address (e.g. in case you have the same name as another student or staff member). As an extra character, your middle initial could be added to your email address: firstname.X.lastname@metropolia.fi
A surname change will not change your user account ID.
Student
First- or lastname changes should to do to Student Affairs Office
First- or lastname will change to all Metropolia systems after information has done to the Winha by Student Affairs Office
Nickname field will indicate the name, which is the first name part in your e-mail address: firstname.lastname@metropolia.fi
NOTE! Check your own information http://amme.metropolia.fi whether the e-mail become more characters (for example, if the changed name is the same as another student or employee have), as first letter from second name between first- and lastname like firstname.X.lastname@metropolia.fi
Surname change will not change you Use Account ID.
