Ihana works on all portable devices. It accesses the user's current position to optimize the information offered in any given place, at any given moment. Latest information of other campuses can also be displayed, if the user wishes. Ihana can also be found in each campus's lobby touch screens.
Appointment reservation service will be added to Pakki and Peppi. Also, some Pakki functionalities will be fixed.

- Staff members can suggest appointment times to students and student groups
- In Tutor view, only such administrative groups will be shown that a person belongs to as a tutor

Due to updating multifunction devices will be periodically unavailable on Wed, 23rd October starting at 9.00 a.m.
During this time the Multifunction devices will be briefly unavailable and so after a while you can try again.
Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences is opening data . Data is available by web services. You can retrieve data from curriculums, courses and schedules. Published data is free and reusable. Data interfaces will be opened in November 2013.

There is a short outage (about one minute) on IT services at Tukholmankatu 10 on 15th October 2013 at 5 p.m. All IT services are unavailable during the outage.

F-Secure for home use is now available for download at https://metrodvd.edu.metropolia.fi
Use of software is allowed for eligible students, faculty and staff.
- FSCS-9.32.rtm-exported.msi is the last f-secure version that works as stand-alone, meaning it does not need to contact a central activation server. Great for older machines and those that are not online all the time,
- FSCS-11.00-332 metropolia.msi latest version, works with Windows 8 and older OS's. Connects to virus-pub.metropolia.fi to activate itself, no other policies are applied.
Pakki, the student's desktop, makes important student services easily accessible and easy to use. The services adapt to use on mobile devices as well.
With the help of services availabe in Pakki, students can follow their own study progress in real time, print out their transcripts, and plan their studies. Students can set up contracts with their instructors/advisors, give student feedback, and make an AHOT request.

Updated version has some new improvements:
- List-view now shows abbreviations of weekdays and tutorial group information.
