Use of software is allowed for eligible students, faculty and staff.
American firm Hold Security has acquired a collection of 1.2 billion stolen user name and password combinations. This confidential material is gathered from over 400,000 web services.
According to their information, a Russian hacker group named CyberVor is responsible.
There is currently no information on whether Finnish user names are among the stolen data. National Cyber Security Centre of Finland recommends using different passwords for each web service. Using the same password in many web services makes it easier for hackers to collect information in future attacks.

Print queues have been revised to correspond to the new Multifunction printers installed recently.
Print queues remain by default double-sided.
New printer names that work on all Multifunction devices:
- Toshiba Print A4 on PAPERCUT- Default Printer
- Toshiba Color Print A4 on PAPERCUT
The jobs in the print queue can be retrieved from all Metropolia’s Multifunction devices.
For A3-sized printouts available printers:
- Toshiba A3 Print on PAPERCUT
- Toshiba Color Print A3 on PAPERCUT
A3 printouts can be retrieved only from A3-cabable Multifunction printers.
Multifunction printers’ locations:
IT Services will remove the old print queues from everyone’s workstations automatically. This does not require any intervention from the user.
If printing problems occur after the update, please restart your workstation. If the restart does not solve the problem, then make a service request describing the issue at http://hd.metropolia.fi.

Apple announced that the company's European 5W power supply may overheat and cause dangerous situations. The power supply was included with all iPhone 3GS, 4 and 4S models, which have been delivered between October 2009 and September 2012
Apple will exchange any defective power supply with a new one, free of charge. The company urges customers to replace defective power supplies with new ones as soon as possible.
Due to updating Requeste (http//hd.metropolia.fi) and Moodle (http://moodle.metropolia.fi) will be unavailable 17.6.

E-lomake (http://elomake.metropolia.fi ) will be updated on Wed 11.6. 9-12 a.m. During this time E-lomake will be unavailable.
Updated version has some new improvements for example:
- uploading images from own computer without using URL
- files can be uploaded from own computer to E-lomake
