Metropolia´s network drive system is under maintenance on Tuesday October 17, 2017 beginning at 11:00 am.
The maintenance involves some outages to working of network drives, approx. from 1 minutes to 5 minutes.
After the maintenance network drives are working automatically. If network drives don´t work, you can restart your computer.
If network drives don´t work after restarting, you can call helpdesk phone service 09 7424 6969, make a service request at http:/hd.metropolia.fi or send emai to helpdesk@metropolia.fi.
The September issue of the Information Management in Metropolia e-zine is out, focusing on the latest news on the information systems and online services used in Metropolia.

Metropolia IT Services will be under maintenance on Tuesday September 12, 2017 from 4:00 pm to midnight. This will cause disturbances in services especially in finance and personnel services, email, Skype for Business, network drives (common and Z drive of own), Instructions´ and projects´ web services including users, vhost, project servers and www.metropolia.fi.
Moodle is updated beginning at 10:00 pm.
OMA system is working normally.
Cloud services of Google and Microsoft are used in Metropolia, together with other software. The browser-based applications may be used for example for
- co-writing
- publishing (WWW, blog, video)
- information management (digital notebooks, surveys)
- file sharing

IT Services in Metropolia - A Quick Survival Guide for Students.
An updated VPN remote access service will be available to all users with the help of Anyconnect client. The VPN portal used by staff members will be closed.
Internal services will be available by opening a VPN remote connection using Anyconnect client. In remote connection the same limitations apply to the use of services as when using the services on Metropolia campuses. Which services are available to a user in VPN connection depends on the user's role and terminal device. Instructions are available on the IT Services' web site, beginning on September 1, 2017.
Students will be notified in the beginning of September after the service runs reliably in staff use.
Remote desktops remain in staff use as an alternative access to internal services. Instructions on the IT Services web site.

The network drive server will be in maintenance on August 22, 2017 at 11:30am through 16:00pm.
The maintenance will effect OMA file availability and share courses, media-students, and share-archive network drives. There will be 2-3 outages, 5-15 minutes each, during the time period (above).
Groundless emails are sent to new students (exchange students, among others) concerning locked user accounts by Metropolia user administration.
You don´t have to care for these emails, if you are registered and you are studying now.

Workstation Health Monitoring has started on 2017 fall on all workstations owned by Metropolia UAS.
In order to provide the best experience and usability of managed workstations IT Support has implemented real time monitoring of workstation health service.
LAMK's REPPU server will be under maintenance on Thursday August 3, 2017 at 8am-12pm. REPPU is not available during maintenance.
