We would like to inform you about a planned extended service interruption for OMA. To implement a significant update, the entire OMA system will be taken offline on Friday, June 13th, 2025, at 2:00 PM. This necessary update will take several days, and OMA will be unavailable during this period. Our teams will be working continuously throughout the weekend and into the start of the following week to complete the upgrade.

While we cannot yet provide an exact time for the completion, we anticipate that OMA will be back online between Monday and Tuesday (June 16th – 17th, 2025). We will restore access to OMA as soon as it is technically possible, even if all its features are not immediately available.

This update involves a major system migration to new servers, including all associated data, and an upgrade to OMA's core technology. This change necessitates an extended downtime, requiring us to shut down the entire system for the installation process. At the same time, OMA's Peppi version will be updated to Peppi 5.1.4.

Please note that this interruption will also affect other services directly linked to OMA, such as

• Wihi
• the graduation and resignation system
• course feedback
• schedules
• hakija.metropolia.fi, etc.

You will still be able to access other Metropolia services during this time, including

• Moodle
• email
• workstations
• password changes
• HR system
