Setting a PowerPoint presentation to play automatically (loop)
Step 1: Open the PowerPoint presentation
Open PowerPoint and open the presentation you want to set to loop.
Step 2: Open the Slide Show settings
From the top menu, select 1. Slide Show, and then click 2. Set Up Slide Show.
Step 3: Set the presentation to loop
In the Set Up Show window, find the section labeled Show options.
- Check the box for Loop continuously until 'Esc'.
- Check the box for Keep slides updated.
These settings make the presentation start from the beginning once it ends, and pressing the 'Esc' key will stop the presentation. No other changes to the settings are necessary.
Finally, click 3. OK.
Step 4: Set automatic transitions between slides
- Click the Transitions tab.
- Click the first slide on the left. A border will appear around the slide, indicating it is selected.
Press CTRL + A to select all slides. A border will appear around all the slides, showing they are selected.
Set the desired time for automatic transitions between slides in the 1. After: field, located in the top-right corner. Ensure the On Mouse Click option is unchecked. No other settings need to be changed.
In the example image, a 5-second automatic transition is set for the slides.
Step 5: Save and test the presentation
Finally, return to the 1. Slide Show tab and select 2. From Beginning. The presentation will now loop continuously, with the slides transitioning at the specified interval.
If you want to set a different interval for slide transitions, go back to Step 4.
