What is the difference between the resource planning and reservations and the schedules tool (lukkarikone)?

The resource management tool is meant for the planning of both timetables and use of facilities. Timetable planners use it for making schedules and other staff members may use it for booking rooms and equipment.

The schedules tool (lukkarikone) is a tool for students. They see all the bookings and reservations that have been published in the resource planning and reservations tool. In the schedules tool, the students will see their own timetables according to the choices they make. The students may also plan future studies and see how their choices affect their schedules.
