Open Terminal program.

To log in to e.g. shell.metropolia.fi server with SSH, give the following command:

ssh -l youruserid shell.metropolia.fi 

Press Enter to run the command.

On the first logon the RSA key must be saved so that the connection works. In other words, when being asked type yes and press Enter.

Next, the password will be asked. Enter your Metropolia password and press Enter.

Now the connection should be open.

Terminate the connection by typing the command exit and press Enter.
