1.    What is Confluence?

Confluence is a tool for collective media, which can be used to produce interactive WWW-pages in e.g. group work (wiki). The administrator of the workspace can assign its users, whom are able to edit areas that the administrator has given rights for.

  • 2.2.1 Activate your Metropolia username at http://activation.metropolia.fi, if you have not already done so.
  • 2.2.2 Apply for the workspace to be created and request for the administrative rights from Metropolia Helpdesk.

  • 2.2.3 Wait for your workspace request to be handled. Provided that the workspace is created, a link will show up on the left hand side of the Confluence website. When the workspace has been made, you are now able to open it and start to produce content.

3. How do I create a new page?

  • 3.1 Add -> Page
  • 3.2 Write the title into the box at the top of the page (replace “New page” with the title).
  • 3.3 Compose the text body into a box located below the toolbox (B I U etc.)
  • 3.4 Edit the content (sub-headings, links, images).
  • 3.5 Save (by pressing Save) or delete (Cancel).

4. How do I edit a page?

  • 4.1 Edit
  • 4.2 Make necessary changes.
  • 4.3 Save. Note! The page refreshes with a 15 second delay / lag
