Blogger is a web-based blogging platform offered by Google.
It's a part of related to the Google Workspace for Education application collection. Metropolia students and staff must accept the terms of use before using Google or Microsoft cloud applications for their Metropolia works for the first time. Blogger on Googlen omistama blogialusta. Ohjelmalla ylläpidetyt blogit julkaistaan yhtiön palvelimella osoitteessa, joka on yleensä muotoa bloginnimi.blogspot.com. Yhtiön kautta voi blogille tilata myös oman domain-osoitteen, joka on maksullinen.
Tekstin lisäksi Blogger tukee kuvien, videoiden ja äänitiedostojen julkaisemista.
Vuonna 1999 perustettu Blogger oli yksi ensimmäisiä blogialustoja, jossa käyttäjä pystyi tuottamaan sisältöä suoraan ilman HTML-merkintäkielen tuntemusta. Yksinkertainen mutta luotettava väline edisti osaltaan blogien yleistymistä 2000-luvun alussa.
