Web Browsers in Mac

Mac computers have the following web browsers available:

  • Safari (Apple's own web browser, comes with the operating system)
  • Google Chrome
  • Firefox

 

Firefox in staff Macs

Staff Mac computers have also an older version of Firefox installed.

The older version of Firefox is meant to be used with such Metropolia services that are not necessarily compatible with other browser versions (such as HR).

The path to the older Firefox:

	/Applications/Firefox_OLD/Firefox(.app)

All effort is taken to keep Mac computers' web browsers up-to-date.

However, the latest updates are not deployed immediately after they are published but with a few weeks delay instead.
