User Accounts and Password Delivery
The use of user IDs and systems involves resonsibilities on the part of the administrator, i.e. IT Services as well as responsibilities and rights on the part of users.
From the beginning of 2023, Metropolia students and staff will have to accept the Metropolia Cloud Terms of Service at the same time as the new user ID is introduced.
The use policies are in accordance with the Finnish law, the national agreements that Metropolia has entered into, Metropolia rules and guide lines concerning information systems and proprieties.
The information security of Metropolia requires that the students and the staff follow the instructions concerning user IDs and e-mail policy.
Procedures other than the ones laid out in the instructions, e.g. sending an activation code in unprotected e-mail, violates the national agreements that Metropolia has entered into, such as the agreement concerning the national inter-university use of information systems using Haka IDs.
