Eduroam Visitor Access – a new way to create visitor accounts
Deployment in 2025
The previously used metropolia-guest visitor network will be discontinued and replaced by Eduroam Visitor Access (eVA).
eVA is a service that allows Metropolia staff to create temporary and secure eduroam accounts for visitors who do not have their own eduroam credentials. With this service, visitors can reliably and securely use the eduroam network during events, meetings, or short visits.
Creating accounts
You can create accounts for visitors either a) for up to three days or b) for one day only. You may have a maximum of 20 visitor accounts active at the same time.
Login
1. Go to https://guest.eduroam.fi/ in your browser.
2. Click Sign in.

3. Enter Metropolia in the search field and select Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from the list.

4. Log in with your Metropolia user credentials.

Creating visitor accounts for up to three days
1. Click Create visitor.

2. Enter the visitor’s information, select the delivery method for the credentials, and click Submit.

Quick method: one-day accounts
1. Enter the visitor’s email address or phone number in the Quick create 1-day account text field.
2. Click Submit.

Creating accounts from a CSV file
1. Click My batch uploads.

2. Click Create batch.

3. Give a descriptive name and validity period for the accounts, select the file from your computer using the Choose File button, and click Submit.

4. The CSV file format should be as follows:
One column between the first name and last name must be left empty.
Each row requires either an email address or a phone number.

Did You Encounter a Problem?
