Checking the information of a file, folder, or network drive
In Apple’s Mac OS X operating system, you can easily check the size and other information of an individual file or folder like this.
Guide
- Select the file or folder, then press and hold the ‘cmd’ key and then the ‘I’ key.


- The information window that appears will display the key details about the selected item.

Note
If the selected item is large or contains many individual files, calculating the size may take some time.
