To be able to login to a laptop with a user ID in a wireless network or without a network you must first login to the laptop once while the laptop is connected to Metropolia fixed network (i.e. with an Ethernet cable)on Metropolia campus. Your user ID is then copied to the laptop via wifi connection or when the laptop is in a docking station. Notice that if you change your password in Amme, the new password is copied to the laptop only when you connect login to the laptop to Metropolia network and loginon campus.

- connecting the laptop to a compatible docking station that is connected to Metropolia fixed network. borrowing a network cable from a desktop computer and by connecting it to the laptop (remember to return the cable to the desktop computer afterwards)any Metropolia campus.
- Boot the laptop.
- Wait for the Press CONTRAL+ALDALT+DEL prompt and login Metropolia domain the same way as you login on a desktop.
- Shut down the computer.

- Log in with your Metropolia user ID.
- Wait until you see Windows Desktop.
- Log outUndock the laptop from the docking station or unplug the network cable.
- Try logging in once more to the laptop so as to be sure that logging in without network is possible.
