Interactive boards are widely available in schools, but are still rare in universities and colleges. Metropolia's pilot project during 2010 - 2011 attempted to determine their usefulness in higher education.
Interactive Boards
An interactive board is the evolution of the white board, a system formed of a workstation, a white board and a projector. An intuitive extension of the controlling workstation, its image is being projected onto the 180-210cm wide white board. Go from pen to fingers to palm of your hand, interchangeably with object awareness. Flick, rotate, zoom and erase with natural touch gestures. Draw or take notes into your presentations or other documents, and save them for easy distribution and future use.
