During the exam, the instructions for students can be found in the exam room. The same instructions can also be found on the student guide page.

What should I do if I am unable to take the exam for some reason?

  1. Abort the exam and leave the room.
  2. Report the interruption to exam@metropolia.fi.

The issue will be resolved afterwards, and if needed, you will be given an opportunity to retake the exam.

What should I do if during the exam...?

The exam computer has shut down/been turned off

  1. Restart the computer. Wait patiently as it may take some time. The computer will open directly to the correct view.

  2. Follow the exam instructions once the computer has started.

The previous user has logged out of the exam computer

Logging in to the exam computer is not possible

  1. Open the Mozilla Firefox browser from the desktop of the exam computer.
  2. Wait patiently for the browser and Metropolia's single sign-on window to open.
  3. Log in with your Metropolia user ID (not email address) and password. Ensure you enter your username and password correctly.
  4. The Exam program will open, and the exam will start at the scheduled time.

If there is another issue with the exam computer

You can leave the exam room before the exam has started. Seek advice on the issue by calling the Helpdesk during its opening hours.

During the exam, you cannot leave the room and return.

  1. Stop the exam by selecting Stop exam.
  2. Report the issue to exam@metropolia.fi.

The matter will be investigated afterward, and you will be given the opportunity to retake the exam if necessary.
