Excerpt

This view is for the planners, who make timetables and schedules for multiple teachers/groups, for the so-called heavy users of the system. The view allows you to get the bigger picture of the timetable planning e.g. in one degree programme. The planner sees which course units are still missing reservations. (the information is based on the scheduling wishes and already made reservations).

The report view

You may form a report by selecting at least one search term and selecting the Search button.

The fields in the report view, the example includes two course unit. The information on the upper course unit is opened on the view.

  • The picture above shows what the different buttons of the report view do. In the view, the information on the upper course unit has been clicked open -> the teacher’s wishes for scheduling (they plan them with the Year planning tool).

Add the room requirement for teaching

This view allows the planner to add new planning rows (= room needs) on the course unit. Add a new row by selecting the green + button on the course unit (the unit should be opened like the one in the picture, which shows the button) See the picture above.

The reservations you have made will show on the rows (labs, lectures, other type).

You may go to Plan and make teaching reservations by selecting the calendar icon beside the course unit’s name. This view will remain in the background in another browser window, so that you may use both the views as you make reservations (this works best if you can use two displays, one for the report view and Plan and make teaching reservations in the other).
