Wiki is a tool and method for collective media, which can be used to produce interactive WWW-pages in e.g. group work (wiki). The administrator of the workspace can assign its users, whom are able to edit areas that the administrator has given rights for.

Wiki in Metropolia
Wiki is mostly used for teaching, project communications and think tank activities in Metropolia. Currently, there are almost three hundred common workspaces  in our wiki. Most of them are open for the entire staff and students of the school. You may check out the list of the workspaces on the front page of the Metropolia wiki at https://wiki.metropolia.fi

The Metropolia wiki is operating on the platform of Confluence. You may study in the basics of the software in the Quick Guide.

How to get started?
Whether you are a student or staff member you may establish a personal or common space in the Metrtopolia wiki.

You may establish a new common wiki space for studies (including projects, reports and think tank activities). Common spaces must be initialized at the IT Services before taking to the use  Send a free-form  request to the Helpdesk (https://hd.metropolia.fi) and ask for the initialization of your space. 

It is recoommended to write your thesis on your personal wiki space.
