OneNote Online is a browser-based notebook application, published by Microsoft Company in 2008. It is a part of the company’s browser-based Office Online application suite. Office Online applications are also included in Microsoft Office 365 Education, used by academic institutions.

The browser-based application is available where a web browser can be used. The application does not require installation on the computer.

OneNote can be used for making notes and organizing them in different notebooks. They can also be synchronized between different devices. Sound, pictures, video, and even spreadsheet formulas can be pasted in the notes. OneNote is generally regarded as a more versatile note making tool than Evernote.

OneNote can also save a web page or part of it although importing to notebook is easy only in Microsoft’s own browser Internet Explorer.
