Course contents in short: Basics of direct current circuits: Kirchhoff's laws, Ohm's law, circuit transformations, nodal voltage analysis, superposition principle and controlled sources.

The course covers the basic principles of electricity and methods for analyzing electric circuits

Prerequisites

No mandatory prerequisites. Basic algebra, such as manipulation of expressions and solving sets of equations, should be mastered before attending the course.

Nilsson, Riedel: Electric Circuits. 9th Edition. Pearson 2011.

Grading

The course is graded with final exam. You can gain bonus to final exam by solving the exercise problems. If you finish correctly over 50 % of the exercises, you can skip one problem in the final exam. If you finish correctly over 80 % of the exercises, you can skip two problems in the final exam.
