Google Vids
Google Vids is an AI-powered video creation application that is integrated into the Google Workspace suite (the same set of productivity tools that includes Docs, Sheets, and Slides).
It is designed specifically for work use. According to the company, its goal is to make video creation fast and easy for anyone – without the need for deep video editing expertise.
Vids Features
Vids automatically generates a draft, a video outline (storyboard), and even a draft script based on a simple prompt.
In its user interface, the video is divided into scenes that are easy to edit and arrange.
Media that can be added to the video includes:
- User-uploaded files (videos, images)
- Stock media from Google's library
- Screen/camera recordings (e.g., for tutorial videos)
- AI voiceovers generated from the script
